What recording a new album is like

I get up. I reassure myself a few times that I’m really doing this. I learn more about how to find people that love the music I love, make a few faint attempts at social media, and then pick up the guitar or the notebook or sit at the piano and just go. Sometimes it’s at Jessica’s “home,” (her parent’s place) on Yarrow Drive, sometimes it’s in the studio at my parents place on Willow Lane.

The order can be rearranged, but that’s pretty much it. I’m learning new songs on guitar, practicing my vocals and imagining concepts for the CD. I’ve got so many songs that I’m working on right now, but somehow I’ve got to find the family of songs that are gonna go on the CD!

What’s going on in your life right now? Any one else working on a big project that has your head spinning?
